Tightrope (1984) IMDB rating: 6.20 Plot: A New Orleans detective is leading an investigation into a killer who is raping and murdering women. His enquiries lead him into the seedy side of town where he is no stranger off-duty. All this contrasts with his home life as a single parent with two young girls. Then on the case he meets rape counsellor Beryl Thibodeaux with whom a relationship possibly offering some normalcy starts to develop.

Would you support a TV show like this?
It would be a reality TV show, where people would actually die. Contestants would of course sign a waiver, and would then have to go through something like an actual gunfight, or tightrope walking over boiling water, or having to fight your way out of Waziristan. People would be motivated to try for it because the prize would be insane: like a billion dollars. But your chances of winning would have to be real slim, like a lottery, because the show really wouldn’t have the ability to pay out a billion dollars regularly.

I think this show would be the next big thing. It could really be one of those things that takes it to the next level. What do you think?

Abt the movie Mulholland Dr…?
when i saw it i thought it was sth like the movie"stay"& this buddhist idea that u come back to life on & on as another person ,but my friend told me it wasnt so ,she told me the ending part of the movie was actuallly the movie that Betty Elms had given the audition for,im so confused plz help me

Well yeah its a very complex movie. My theory is that everything that happened before they opened the blue box was a dream and the rest of the film is the reality.

You are not alone. A lot of people were confused by the storyline of Muholland Dr.

I actually purchased the DVD because it received such good reviews from movie critics. However, I eventually sold it when I realized that the movie critics’ reviews were wrong and that I would never completely understand the movie plot after I watched it approx. 10 times.

As a result of that movie, I am not a fan of any of David Lynch’s movies. I think that he receives more adulation as a "cinematic genuis" than he deserves and I can’t understand how his cult following have supported him for this long.
